Disk Monitor Pro

Select the disk you want and Disk Monitor Pro will monitor it. Based on the settings you specify, it will notify you when you’re running out of disk space. You can, for example, set it up to be notified when the free space on your D: drive is below 10% or below 5GB. And you can set it up so you will be notified with a popup, an audible beep, or via email.

Disk Monitor Pro works with Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. To get the application up and running on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions, you will first have to download a 425KB MSI installer. Then you will have to run it and click through the instructions presented by a simple setup wizard.

There are three tabs in the upper left hand corner of the application’s interface:
Disk Monitor – lists the disks you selected for monitoring, the monitoring options you can play with, and all notification settings.
Email Settings – from here you can set it up to be notified via email.
HTML Output – enable HTMLP Output and play with a few related settings.

Using Disk Monitor Pro is a very simple matter. Just select the disk you want (local and remote disks can be selected), specify how you want the application to display disk space, choose when to be notified (when free space reaches a certain percentage or a certain value), and choose the type of notifications you want to get (reports, alerts, audible beep, and so on).
